The light, air, sea and landscape of connamara has a spellbinding and unique energetic qualities. Inspired by the time spent during the Covid pandemic in Carraroe, Connamara. The Irish language spoken in Carraroe is of very pure form and argubaly one of the few lasting outposts of native Irish speakers. Manchán Magan collected words from gaeltacht areas around Ireland one of these words is from Carraroe 'Racálach' means cast-up seaweed thrown up on the shore after a big tide or a gale. These pieces are made from Kelp collected after a big tide in Carraroe, Co. Galway.
