Pencil, pitt markers, gouache on paper

The primary source for this painting was a photograph I took of stacked rubbish bags that me and a few friends came across when walking home one evening. The colour of some of the bags interested me, as did the shape the bags made when stacked, almost statuesque, like a monument. I find the subject matter of waste engrossing and I love gouache as a material.
