For this triptych I continue to use my family archive as the source material. In the process of trying to understand an object; in this instance an old radio valve - it begins to take on new form through sculptural explorations. These forms then become decontextualised, creating a new narrative.

While an understanding of the object itself is a void of unknown, layers of time and history have built up around it, protecting that void and in the process creating new form.
