Legacy

I recently inherited an extensive archive from distant relatives, Frank and Liam Devins. Hundreds of photographs, letters and objects. I have spent the last number of months foraging through this family archive, trying to decipher what I am looking at. Through my work I acknowledge my distorted view of the past, and my attempt to piece together these fragments of a life.

This is a drawing of a box which contained dozens of utility bills, some of which date back almost 100 years. Through these creative explorations I am attempting to document and preserve these objects, all the while questioning their value now, and to whom.
